The fisherman’s bicycle by the banks of a river that provides for his living.

While wandering through the forests on the banks of Madhubani River in Dooars region of West Bengal, I happened to come across a fisherman patiently waiting for his catch. He already had few small fishes in his kitty but was relentlessly trying to catch hold of a bigger one. An umbrella that is hardly used was probably carried to protect him from the scorching sun. “I finally caught hold of this Chitol Maach (or Clown Knife fish), Madam.” rejoices the frail looking man. The fish he mentioned is sold at a fairly high price at the local market, which meant a happy day for the fisherman and his family.
